Today, 28 October 2009, is a Fire Horse day (Bing Wu). According to the Chinese Astrology and Feng Shui Almanac, today is a SUCCESS DAY.
Even according to the scriptures of Dong Gong, it is a superior day. It also combines with the month. Especially auspicious of those born in the year of the Tiger!

I need to hand in some paperwork for an important project I am working on. Everything is done. I have double and triple checked everything. Covered all my bases. But what am I doing?

Waiting for the right date.
I know. I know. I should be whining about waiting for the Right Moment. I was the one that chose the best time and day using Date Selection. It is for the best and will improve my chances considerably.
But it still does not stop me from being anxious, impatient and (yes) whiny. 
So all of you people out there that have to wait for the right time as per advise from your astrologer. I know how you feel. I am an astrologer but I too know how you feel.

Dragon Gate has just launched its new Online Chinese Almanac. First created over 7 years ago, it has been the single most popular page on the entire site attracting thousands a day.
This is the first time it has been upgraded. It now has more information, including Flying Stars and better Date Selection system based on the Twelve Officer Days. This is a technique that traces its roots back to the Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD) and is still used today by Date Selection, Feng Shui and Astrology experts around the world.
The layout is still being tweaked and there has been a lot of comments already. It is a little bit of a FaceBook moment since we have had some diehard fans ask for the old layout. We hear you and making changes as we speak!
It is a work in progress! Over the next month, there will be many changes to the Almanac including more features, an improved layout (with the help of comments from our users) and more.

I am talking about the RIGHT Time. Many people who practice our art whether it is professionally or privately (or just simply mucking about with it), do not understand the importance of Date Selection. Choosing the Right Time to move in will bind the prosperous Qi to your property. Choosing the Right Time to start an activity will ensure that you have that extra celestial boost.
Sometimes, when the Stars are not in your favour, the situation has too many constraints or you just have crap Feng Shui, the using the Right Time may be the only thing you can do.
Common examples of things people use Date Selection for: getting married, starting a business, moving house, renovating, starting a diet, quiting smoking, starting a long trip and the like. And no. Some of you may have heard that some choose a time for taking a bath or getting a haircut. This is from the time when people used to do it once a year!
The idea of Date Selection is that you will tap into specific cyclical energies that will support specific individuals (based on their personal energy) and the specific activity. Notice I used the word “specific” a lot. This is because different energies will support different activities. Plus you have to ensure that they match the individual (often you will use BaZi Astrology to determine this). What is good for goose… is not always good for the gander.
Furthermore, one must appreciate that not all the “Right Times” are created equal. Just like anything, there are greater and lesser Right Times. Hell… some are down right cruddy.
I will be writing more about this at a later date. Just thought I would wet your appetite a little. I have to get back to my work. Have at least 8 Date Selections, 1 Astrology Reading and about 5 feet of paperwork to sort out… I hate it when things start piling up on my desk. Maybe I should have selected the Right Time to get up this morning…
