Obama- Will he take America back to the promise land? – A BaZi Astrology Perspective

Posted by admin on Wednesday, 21 January, 2009

Mr. Barack Hussien Obama was sworn in as the President of the United States of America on the morning of the 20th, January 2009. Congratulations Mr. President.

Hopes are riding high on Mr. O. He is expected to save the day. But will he be able to turn the Titanic that is the U S of A?

Lets see what his BaZi has to say:

Barack Obama’s BaZi Astrology Chart. I plotted this with
Dragon-Gate.com’s Online BaZi Astrology Calculator.

Based on his Natal Chart, I feel that he may actually be the right person for the job.

Obama is Ji Earth, sitting on Snake. Both Earth and Fire are very strong in his chart. This indicates a person that is strong and confident. Talented and able to work under pressure. Ji Earth individuals tend to be multi-taskers which needed as he will be fighting battles on many fronts.

The Strong Earth (Friend and Rob Wealth Star) in his chart shows popularity and strong support from his fans. This has shown in what seems to be the most popular President America has had since JFK. This will be needed for the people to get behind his policies which might not be as popular as he is.

Strong Fire (Resource) will be required to disarm difficult situation and ensure he has support from all factions. It also gives him the knowledge and the ability to make intelligent decisions.

The element of Wood is prominent in his chart bringing about the leadership qualities that are needed in this trying time. The presence of both Yin and Yang Wood indicates both sides of the “leadership” coin. He can be strong, steady and righteous. He can also be flexible, aggressive and cunning.

But will this be enough? We will have to have a peak at the 4 years of his tenure.

2009 is the year of the Earth Ox. This in fact is a clash to his month pillar. This indicates a messy year for Mr. Obama. Cleaning up the House of America will be like an episode of Dirty Jobs by Mike Row. Since the Goat (Friends Star) is clashed, his popularity will erode somewhat.

But will there be light at the end of the tunnel? Well… 2010 is Metal Tiger (Geng Yin) which is a Fu Yin to his current Luck Pillar (Sorry… getting technical here). That usually denotes strife, deadends and difficulty. There is also an Ungrateful Punishment Between the Tiger and the Snake in his chart. This may make his job a thankless one.

2011 is a Metal Rabbit (Xin Mao). This may be a saving grace as it combines with the Goat in his chart. This could mean that he will be feeling the love again from the people. The Water Dragon (Ren Chen) of 2012 will bring the same just in time for him to be reelected.

So what does this all mean: I feel he will probably spend the whole of 2009 trying to get America back on track. It will be messy and it will be uncomfortable. 2010 will be a difficult year as his popularity has eroded as America decides that he is not the fairytale they thought he would be. America might get back on track, but it may be a thankless job for Mr. Obama. However 2011 and 2012 looks like me may very well turn public opinion back in his favour.

Goodbye Rat. Hello Ox- A BaZi Astrology Forecast for 2009

Posted by admin on Saturday, 10 January, 2009

How was the Rat for everyone? Hope it was as eventful as mine. A real rollercoaster, complete the with dips, dives, twists and turns. It was a lot of fun, scary at times, potentially dangerous (because I think I was not strapped in properly!).

So what will the Ox bring?

2009 is the the year of the EARTH OX (starting on the 4th of Feb 2009 to the 4th of Feb 2010). Ji Chou (己 丑) for those of you in the know. It is Yin Earth on Ox, which is also Yin Earth. Depending on your BaZi and the monthly influence, it is an image of cold icy earth or muddy icy slush. One image suggest stillness and an absence of movement. The other suggest mire, discomfort and muck. Neither is very comfortable. Both images are cold and inhospitable. There is also a lack of movement as Water is affected (water being the symbol of movement and mobility).

The Ji Chou will be a stagnant year for many. It will be a difficult year for many to progress and grow. Be careful of being stuck in a rut. Too much Earth usually denotes being trapped or unable to move forward. The only way to ensure you do not get buried in the mire or possibly even prosper, you will need to be flexible and constantly mobile. And you must work hard. Very hard. You must be that little bit of green that pops out of the snow after a long fight.

The element of Xin Metal (Yin Metal) is buried under Ji Chou. So there are hidden treasures if you dig hard enough!

In the same analogy, this is also a good year for hording. It is a year to collect and bury your treasure. So if you can, it is a good time to buy and keep- properties, stocks, antiques and commodities like precious stones/metals. Remember- not trading. Hording.

The economies of the world however will find it hard to get out of the current rut their in. The stock markets will be down down down. The elements of Metal and Water symbolise the banking, the stock market and the money markets. Being buried under Ji Chou will mean that there will be very little chance of a massive turnaround.

However Earth is the element of Wealth of Wood. However, Ji Chou is still very cold and inhospitable and hence require the presence of Fire. So some individuals who are Yi (Yin Wood) or Jia (Yang Wood) may still do well this year. As will Wood related industries with some element of Fire.

Metal and Water are also the elements of emotions. Throw some muddy Earth on that and you will get a nasty cocktail of emotions, confusion and stress. So you will see more cases of anxiety and depression. If you get drawn into the cold quicksand, it will be difficult to pull yourself out this year. You have to make sure you keep your head up and keep on moving. Fire, which is the element of happiness is very weak in 2009.

Religion as well as spiritual, esoteric and metaphysical disciplines will be needed in these trouble times. People will flock to its warmth (being the element of Fire).

Finally, many will find that 2009 will bring another worry- Health. Too much Earth tends to denote unwanted growth or a sign of malignant tissue. It also indicates gastrointenstinal issues, contamination related illness and even poisoning. It may also bring about blood related disorders and kidney problems. So I would advise everyone to get a full medical NOW and one in July (Goat month). Look to oriental herbs and traditional remedies to supplement your health plans this year. The additional Wood element will do you some good!

It does seem like a dire year for many with very little upside. To be honest… YES. It does forecast to be a dire year for many. However, not every BaZi is equal and so there will be winners as well as losers (so of the latter this year of course). But it will still boil down to your choices, actions and state of mind. It may not be the time to grab the bull (or Ox) by the horns ala Hercules… it may be a better bet to be the matador and use skill, guile and fancy footwork to dance around the 2009. Of course, there is always an option of playing it safe. Sit tight and weather the storm till 2010. If the odds are decked against you this year, it could be better to lay low and watch the action from the stands. No sense in being gored by the Ji Chou!

There are many ways to do a forecast for the year with Chinese Astrology. I used BaZi Astrology (Four Pillars of Destiny) as it is a system which I am most comfortable with. It is a general reading for the year and will influence people differently depending on their BaZi. I however have always been a proponant of the Power of Man Luck. Your life is ultimately in your hands. Astrology is best used to understand yourself and preparing for the road ahead. But it is still your feet that do the work.

Mr Rabbit: Be good. Stay cool. Do good. Horoscope Forecast for the Year of the Ox

Posted by admin on Saturday, 10 January, 2009

The Earth Ox year 2009 will prove to be stable and secure on the whole for you, and a welcome respite from the tumultuous year of past, 2008. Though this is the case, you must concentrate on achieving your goals through your own efforts because chances are hard work will certainly pay for you this year. You will be able to endure hard work without breaking a sweat, either, because this year sees your intelligence and resourceful nature come into play, full-force!

It is auspicious for you to donate your money this year for a good cause, because such actions are positive in nature and will be able to offset any health problems in the household, especially those involving your elders. Therefore by all means do conserve a pool of cash for the needy this 2009.

The above, like the post before is based on the year of birth and analysis using the Shen Sha method of BaZi. It is quite a quick route to a general consult and useful to forecast annual influences. It is an excerpt of the eBook on Dragon-Gate.com I help publish.

The year 2009 will see moderate luck for the Tiger. It’s a good time for you to be pro-active and on your toes at all times. The year 2009 sees the assistance of the Nobleman Luck come to your rescue – Nobleman Luck meaning those who are situated at the upper echelons of society.

Tiger persons with their very own businesses will enjoy good returns and profits especially if you are in partnership with a male. Or, if you are involved in an industry that caters specifically to ‘boy toys’ such as automobiles, audio equipment and other gadgetries, you will be able to prosper through excellent returns. As for power and authority luck, Tiger people with male superiors at work will be able to enjoy these in abundance – this is due, again, by the presence of the Nobleman Luck.

Here is a wonderful tip for all Tiger people this 2009 – traveling is an auspicious pursuit for you, therefore indulge in some far-flung holidays and you also stand to gain great Wealth Luck!

This is Part I in a series of short little extracts of the entire forecast for the different horoscope signs. Got them from a series of eBooks I help author that is available on Dragon-Gate.com. These are based on the Shen Sha method of analysis and is a general reading based on the year of birth.
