Should Water be at the Back of the House?

Sunday, November 1, 2009 Posted by admin

I get asked this a lot. And my answer is always the same “Not all the time.”

I am sure you have heard that you need to have a mountain at the back, it must be still & stable, etc.. But this is a generalisation.

feng-shui-water-behing-the-houseIf the water is fast moving is usually bad. Dirty water is usually bad. If there is a big drop or fall before the water, is also usually bad. But other than that, it has about just as much chance of being good for you as having the water in any other direction. Water becomes a Sha Qi (or “poison arrow”) only when it is unstable, aggresive and causes the energies around the property to be imbalanced. You also do not want the water flowing directly away from your home too quickly as it too will leak the Qi away.

If your home really is afflicted with this problem. Then do take note of the other Feng Shui aspects of your home. This form of Sha Qi tends to aggravate existing issues, causes further instability and usually loss of wealth.

Even according to the scriptures of Dong Gong, it is a superior day. It also combines with the month. Especially auspicious of those born in the year of the Tiger!

P.s: But if you were born in the day of the Rat. Sorry. The star sign of the day clashes with your star sign. Tough but not to worry.. there will be other days.

Tang Family Ancentral HallThe Oldest Chinese Ancestral Hall in Hong Kong: Tang Family Ancestral Hall

Read this in the Wall Street Journal the other day. Amazing look at the oldest Ancestral Hall in Hong Kong. It is over 700 years old. Built by Tang Fung-shun, a fifth-generation member of the Ping Shan family for the Tang clan. Today, William Tang Tat Chi (26th-generation descendant of Tang Fung-shun) still celebrates Midsummer’s Festival with a hundred other family and friends. They have done so for 700 years.

The Clingy Yi Wood- The Ugly Side of BaZi Part I of XIII

Friday, August 21, 2009 Posted by admin

This is the first installment of my Ugly Side of BaZi Series. It will go on for 10 post and feature one of the Heavenly Stems each. Now if any one reads something they don’t like, please don’t take it personally. Take it constructively!

Yi Woods. Yin Wood. The Vine. Grass. Weed.

The Clingy One

The Clingy One

Yi Woods are clingy. Among all the 10 Heavenly Stems, they are the most needy individuals. Leveraging and leaning on others, they get through life with a lot of help. Sometimes you know you are helping them. But most often you do not. They play the game very very well. They use their guile and their wiles, playing the victim, nudging or even straight forward manipulation! They cannot stand alone. This is because they tend to wrap themselves around the Friend element and Rob Wealth element alike.

Earth is the element of Wealth to Yi Woods. And like all good plants, once the roots are in, it is difficult to extract them. They need the earth. This makes them greedy and often unwilling to let go of things. Especially when they already derive some form of benefit from it. This makes them calculative. You can cout on Yi Woods to have their eye of the ball and the head wrapped around the checks & balances. Whether they like it or not, the first thing on their minds is “What is in it for me?”

Resolve, discipline and principles are flexible. The pursuit of personal benefit and the need for support from others comes first. So when the path is not clear, they can be extremely wishy washy. They are unable to make a decision or stick by one especially when they have to give up something in return. This is worse if the element has no roots (Wood at the Earthly Branch or too much water in the chart). They become even more clingy and have even less resolve & discipline.

When they are sitting on 7 Kilings or have it too strong in their chart, they can become unscrupulous. If no Direct Officer star, it becomes even worse (Will sell their own mother for the right price!). Yi Woods make great liars. They can spin around you and before you know it, you will be signing away your life savings!

So for all you other poor souls… keep your wits about you when you are talking to a Yi. You never know….

Disclaimer: These are all GENERAL characteristics of each of the Day Masters. It is by no means a 100% portrayal of all Yi Woods. This is an extreme representation of all that is bad (or should I say unacceptable by society’s standards). You must remember that quite often, these characteristics in varying doses are what makes them successful in their endeavours.

Never thought I would be so happy to see the Monkey

Saturday, August 8, 2009 Posted by admin

It has only been a few days in the the month of the monkey and I am already feeling its effects. The Goat was very unpleasent. It was stressful, uncomfortable, confusing and downright icky. The clash with the year also meant a lot of unpleasent surprises, unnecessary arguments, evil plotting and bad bad news. People fell sick and some even passed away (most notably Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson).

The month of August is the Monkey (Shen). It will be very different. The elements are quite the opposite, water and metal, while the month before was fire and earth. So this month will bring clarity, decisiveness, movement and strong emotions.

I can’t wait!

WordPress is so much fun!

Saturday, August 1, 2009 Posted by admin

wordpress_iconAs you can see I am still fiddling around with WordPress. Love tinkering with it! There is so much to do.You can download all kind of plugins and fiddle around with the settings. Looooove it! Still not the best at it and the blog still has issues but the process has been so much fun.

Bye Bye Blogspot. Hello WordPress.

Tuesday, July 28, 2009 Posted by admin

Finally made the leap. I switched from Blogspot|Google to WordPress. This is the first month and am taking some time to make it all perfect so bear with me people. I have heard and read so much about WordPress and how much can be done with it so I am quite excited about everything.

But just like when you move into a new home, it is still a little messy. I still do not know where everything is and am still wranggling with the new landlord. It also means that I have been a little behind on my “Ugly Side of BaZi” articles but I do promise that I will continue blogging regularly once everything is set up properly. Of course it did not help that I decided to make the change in July in the Goat month. Too much Earth! Goat clashes with the year so you can imagine all the tiny little hiccups I have been having with this new installation.

But August is coming. The month of the Monkey should bring about clarity, clearer purpose and most of all- movement! So hopefully things are starting to move along!

The Ugly Side of BaZi

Saturday, July 4, 2009 Posted by admin

I have a great idea for a series of post on the Day Masters of BaZi Astrology. I will try to stay away from the usual angle that most books, articles and blogs go on. I think that horse has been beaten to death twice over.

I will talk about what most consultants tend to tone down and books often avoid- all the unpleasant bits of each Day Master- the bad habits they have, the nasty things they are capable of and the weaknesses that ultimately becomes their downfall.

Stay tune…

Michael Jackson- A BaZi Astrology’s Perspective

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 Posted by admin

In the past few days, I think I have heard Billie Jean at least 501 times on the radio, on TV, online, in the malls and even in the gym! Once again, you just can’t escape the King of Pop.

So if you can’t ignore ‘em, JOIN ‘EM. So here is my contribution to the World of Michael Jackson.

This is Michael Jackson’s BaZi Astrology Chart. The time of birth is from sources around the web and should be accurate as it does match the chart and the man.

BIG EARTH
MJ was a Yang Earth person or Wu Earth (in Chinese). These individuals tend to be secretive and quiet. They are not good at expressing their inner feelings. Hardy individuals, they can take a lot of abuse and punishment without complain. Yang Earth individuals take on a lot of burden on their shoulders and often do so without complaint. They are reliable and dependable.

EARTH EARTH EARTH
MJ’s chart has Earth elements in every branch and almost every stem. This represents the masses of adoring fans that support him till today. He needs this element to stay grounded and stable. Hence he thrives on the support from his fans and it is because of that, any adverse reaction from them will destablise him significantly both mentally, emotionally and financially. Also, when one sees their own element, it is often known as “Rob Wealth” meaning a loss of wealth due. This can be due to anything from spending, luxuries, investments (bad or otherwise), robbery, legal action, etc. And we all know that very few could rival MJ in his heyday.

STABLES
You may then ask, how does the Mountain dance? MJ is born in the day of the Tiger and the Month of the Monkey. First, they are both Stables (as in horses) Stars. This denotes travel, restlessness and movement. I have also noticed in my experience that these type of Stars are needed for that extra rhythm in your step Unfortunately these collide in a violent clash denoting a lack of peace of mind especially at home (Tiger being in the pillar that represents MJ’s home).

EATING GOD
Metal is EXTREMELY strong in his chart. It is the element that he produces known as Eating God. This is where is creativity, his skill in performing, singing and dancing comes from. This however is also why he is so eccentric. Individuals who’s Eating God element is too strong tends to be a little strange. And since this element is prominent and shown on the top stem, he is quiet public about it. Especially when Wu Earth individuals like MJ have the Metal element exposed on the stem of their BaZi chart, it also brings a strong feeling of emptiness and unfulfillment.

WATER = MONEY
MJ is an Earth person. Water is the element that represents money to an Earth person. Where is MJ’s Water? In the Monkey. The Monkey is known as the Growth of the Water element. The Water element is strong in the Monkey and it has the ability (especially in MJ’s case) to generate incredible amounts of Water (and hence- Wealth). So that is why MJ creates his wealth through creating music and performing.

FIRE
He has a full combination of Fire (Tiger-Horse-Dog) in his chart. This Fire hones and sharpens the Metal in MJ’s chart. Making his Eating God (and hence his creativity and skills) incredibly effective and talented. That is why he is Bad. To an Earth person like MJ, Fire is the element of Resource. This is the element of reason, thinking, comfort and study. It is one of the reasons why he is so reserved. It is also the reason why he remains in his shell- his comfort zone. He is a person that thinks too much, over-analyses everything and has a torturous and constant internal monologue.

CONTROVERSY #1
One of the biggest controversies he faced throughout his life was his face. What did he do to his face? Skin bleaching or skin disorder? Skin is the element of Wood. Although clashed in his chart, it is not the weakest of elements. It is unlikely that he had serious pigmentation problems. As for his fascination with cosmetic surgery, it is due to the strong metal (Eating God) which makes him eccentric and the poor condition of the fire which makes him unhappy, affects his state of mind and thinking. Plus the overly strong presence of other Earth elements creates a self-image and self-confidence problem which could have been a contributing factor.

CONTROVERSY #2
Sex scandals? Although he was never charged, many still believe that he did do it all. This is a tough one. Eating God (the Metal in his chart) makes him very creative and a brilliant performer. It also makes him stubborn. He will be adamant in his opinion and unable to change what he thinks is the right thing. It also makes him extremely eccentric. And finally, an overly strong Eating God also has a tendency to make one more “lustful” and a little “perverted”. The Horse in his chart is affected especially from the age of 32 and up. This affects ones happiness, state of mind, thinking and judgement. The Horse is a peach blossom star which represents romance, feelings and lust.

But is this enough to determine he did it?

BaZi shows potentials and these are the potential possibilities: (1) He knowingly did it. (2) He did it but did not realise that it was wrong (Eating God mentality) until it was too late. (3) He did not do it but does not realise his actions gets him into trouble (also an Eating God issue). (4) He did not do it but refuses to change eventhough he knows his actions gets him into trouble (a very big Eating God issue).

THE HORSE

The Horse is the single most important branch in his chart. It is the element of Fire, providing him with comfort and warmth in an otherwise cold chart. It is the central element holding the Fire combination mentioned above together. It is also the element that controls and molds his Eating God making him who he is. Fire is the element of happiness. It is in the hour palace, one that denotes career as well as children. So where the Horse goes, Michael Jackson goes.

THE VARIOUS STAGES OF MJ’S LIFE

In his 2nd Luck Pillar, MJ was in the Water Dog luck. This was a combination to most of his pillars bringing popularity and success but not necessarily success. It was hard work, fans but not necesarily money from him personally.

Michael Jackson started going through the Winter Luck Pillars at the age of 23. The Water Pig was his 3rd Luck Pillar. It was a pure Wealth Luck period for Michael and most importantly, it combined with the Horse. In technical terms, it was a heaven and earth combination where both stem and branch combine. It was a good quality combination bringing him fame and fortune. Water is his wealth and this was one of the strongest possible. It also interacted extremely well with his entire chart.

Then came the 4th Pillar. This was the Wood Rat. Although it was Wealth as well, the Rat clashes with the Horse. This disturbed the delicate balance of MJ’s BaZi Chart. With the Horse clashed away, the combination of Fire was broken and the Eating God also affected. The Metal, without the Fire to control- went (literally) crazy. Hence he started really to become Wacko Jacko. His records did not sell as well. The music was not as popular. And he was very unhappy. Although the Rat is still Water, it caused more harm than good because of the clash. Furthermore Jia (Yang Wood) on top of the Rat denotes 7 Killings (legal battles, gossips, rumours and backstabbing). Hence in the year of the Rooster, he got into problems with the law. Incidentally: Rat and Rooster is a destruction. Rat-Rooster-Horse are all peach blossom stars which is why the charges were sexual in nature. He was in a downward spiral and without the Fire element in the Horse to control the Metal (Eating God). He was too eccentric and stubborn to stop.

Finally the 5th Pillar came when he was 43- the Wood Ox. The Ox is a Harm to the Horse his MJ’s chart bringing more pain, betrayal, lies and emotional trauma. It is also signifies the end of MJ’s pure Wealth luck signified by Water. Whatever Water element was left in the Ox Luck Pillar was contaminated and caused more harm than good. He was also at his unhappiest at this point in his life. The Ox is a Harm to the Horse and the emotional strain attacks his state of mind and emotional core. The Dog and the Ox are also a Bullying Punishment which is indicated by the way he was manhandled by almost everyone from the law to the media to the sponsors and record companies to former friends and fans.

NO MORE FIRE
Michael Jackson collapsed at around 12pm on the 25th of June 2009. He was pronounced dead at 2.50pm. What happened?

He was in an Ox Luck Pillar.
It was an Ox year.
It was a Horse month.
It was an Ox day.
He collapsed in a Horse hour.
He was pronounced dead in a Goat hour.

Ox is the element of Water and Earth. It is the element of muddy water. He was obviously overworked and very stressed. Muddy water denotes poisoning and toxins which explains the painkillers. Fire represents the heart. The Ox and Horse harm denotes heart attacks and cardiac arrest. Fire is the element of Resource which also denotes ones health and wellbeing. The Destruction between the Ox and the Dog also means he was probably under a tremendous amount of stress and felt like he was pushed against the wall to perform again.

In conclusion, Michael Jackson’s chart shows a fragile person that is dancing on a thin line. A man of tremendous talent, a multidude of fans, complete eccentricity, empty heart and unsettled mind. It showed how you need one Luck Pillar to amass a tremendous amount of fame and fortune. It also shows how one can spiral uncontrollably down.

Rest in peace Mike. Hope you find what you can in death that you never had in life.

Monkey Business

Friday, June 12, 2009 Posted by admin

Incredible.

Chinese government promised to “rent” a bunch of rare golden snub-nosed monkeys to the Los Angeles Zoo for US$100,000.00 a year.

The City built a US$7.4 Million enclosure in anticipation for the monkeys. And this does not include the US$4500 for a “Feng Shui expert” to ensure the Qi was good for the monkeys health and happiness!?!?!

Unfortunately the monkeys have decided not to come and now the city is stuck with a cage that looks like a Chinese village. Perhaps the monkeys did not agree where the Feng Shui expert put the water fountain.

Mrs. Monkey trying unsuccessfully to push the fountain to the right corner.

Tough bananas…
